Green Point Garden Design

   About Me
My name is Wojciech Perz, and I am Polish.  (For those of you unfamiliar with the pronunciation of Polish names,
the phonetic way to pronounce my name is “Voycheck Persh”).

For 5 years, starting in 1997, I attended Agricultural Technical College in Poland where I specialised in the cultivation of plants.  On completion of my studies, I qualified as an Agricultural Technician.

For the next 5 years, I continued my studies at the
Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture within the Poznan University of Life Sciences (which was previously known as The August Cieszkowski Agricultural University of Poznan).  On completion of my studies, I was awarded the degree of Master of Science and Engineering.

Both Technical College and University gave me not only theoretical but also practical knowledge and experience of working with plants, which was reinforced by several lengthy internships that I completed in Poland, Denmark, Germany and Holland as part of my University course.

After finishing University in 2007, I emigrated to the United Kingdom where I settled in Bristol. After six months, I started working at Middlecombe Nursery, one of the best known Nurseries in Somerset, which has given me the opportunity both to extend my knowledge and to apply it in practice when advising customers and clients.  This job has totally inspired my passion and enthusiasm for working with plants. I left the Nursery after 7 years.

In 2009, having decided I wanted to apply this passion and enthusiasm in an even more challenging way, I started my own small business dedicated to the creation and maintenance of clients' gardens. This quickly showed me that I was good at relating to my clients and understanding their needs, and so I decided the best way of applying these skills, together with my experience and passion for working with plants, would be to dedicate my career to the design of gardens.

To endorse this decision, I enrolled at the Garden Design School, which is one of the best Design Schools in England and a School where all of the teaching staff are well-known designers in their own right.  I graduated from the School in July 2011 with a Diploma in Garden Design.

To further enhance the process of my Continuing Professional Development, I have now started the application process to become a member of The Society of Garden Designers.

I strongly believe that my 17 years of experience enable me to deliver to all my clients a comprehensive and professional service in garden design and consultancy.
